The Ashtanga Yoga Method is an ancient system that has been traditionally taught by the late master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
This method focuses on the sequencing of the postures or the vinyasa, the drishtis, the bandhas, the mudras and the philosophy.
When practised in its correct sequential order, this traditional form of Yoga gradually leads to a vibrantly healthy body and mind.
The emphasis is on synchronising the movement of the body with the breath through a progressive series of postures that creates internal heat. This in turn, detoxes the mind and body, improves circulation, builds strength, improves flexibility and stamina.
Each posture is a preparation for the next, developing the strength and balance required to move further into the practice, with a graceful flow.
